Tell about your favourite Armenian hero and the way how do we remember him/her
Vardan Mamikonian was a brave Armenian leader who lived in the 5th century. He loved his country and his people very much. When the Persian Empire tried to force Armenians to give up Christianity, Vardan refused. He gathered his soldiers and told them to fight for their faith and their homeland. In 451, he led them in the Battle of Avarayr. The battle was very hard, and Vardan was killed, but his courage gave hope to the Armenian people. Even though they lost the battle, they kept their faith. Vardan became a symbol of freedom, bravery, and love for Armenia.
